Why I Started ClearWyn
Hi, I'm Elwyn, and I started ClearWyn Facility Services Ltd, here in Calgary.
For around a decade before this, I worked in procurement and contract management, including a key-account role in aerospace and a stint as a project buyer for one of Europe's largest construction firms. A large portion of the job was to contract suppliers and hold them to what they'd signed up to deliver, and when one of them kept letting us down, I was the person who replaced them. So I've sat in the same chair you're likely in now, picking a contractor and hoping things work out.
That means I know how this tends to play out. A supplier/contractor gives a polished pitch with a great offer, wins the work, and then a few weeks in the cracks start to show. I saw a lot of that from the buyer's side, and it was rarely the operators' fault. It came down to how the business was managed, and running things properly is exactly what I spent my career doing.
I built ClearWyn to be the company I'd have actually wanted to hire. You deal directly with me, and if a clean isn't right, tell me and I'll sort it, because I'm not chasing one contract and moving on. In business you keep a client by earning them, so that's what I'm focused on.
